There are none. This was a cheapie tool, nothing opening, etc. It was the only way we could fit it into the budget for Bond. (Hornet, Hispano, Aston and whatever the other new casting was didn't have opening features either as I recall.)

It was a toss-up between this and a Citroen 15CV, the only other car that appeared in the Bond movie in question (From Russia With Love, I think.) I spent two days watching every Bond film on 4x fast-forward, car-spotting to get lists together to choose what new castings to do. This was the last car chosen--and Tom (wisely, I think) went with the wagon. Far more practical applications in the domestic JL line than a Citroen that's generally seen only in black.

Jeff, this turned out to be an excellent choice.
This is a very nice casting.
It was a must have for me when it debuted.
And I still like it to this day. The green coloured version in the picture is my favourite.
What really amazed me about this casting, when I finally obtained a copy, was the appearance of the simulated wood panelling on the casting.
That aspect is truly amazing to view, even today.
Who would of believed that this could have been done on a casting of this size!

Thanks Jeff on the background information on this casting.

And thanks to Wyatt for the picture.
I look forward to seeing the Picture Of The Week each Saturday.

Cheers. Cobra

I'm glad a lot of people enjoy the picture of the week. I am also very appreciative of Jeff's comments on various castings. The comments definitely enhance the thread.

No opening hood.
RacerJoe, I doubt that we will get a hood off Spoiler.
But it certainly is an interesting concept.
Thanks for the suggestion even if it doesn't happen.

Funny you say that ... this one always seemed a tad on the small side to me. But that wasn't ever my call to make.

Has anyone else noticed how on the Sat. Eve. Post and the Wicked Wagons release (and maybe others) there is this strange "chrome" tampo that sort of dives downward on the front fenders?
I'm pretty sure the 1:1s don't do this.
Just an observation - anyone know what's up with that?

I just went to Wyatt's site to view all versions and could'nt find any hints as to why this is.
But the 2 I mentioned are the only cars like this - strange!

The chrome strip on the 1960 Fords started at the corner of the rear fin and followed the protruding fender/door line the full length of the body turning down on the front corner ending just above the front bumper corner.
I believe that it also incorporated the turn signal at the front.
Am interesting observation, Lummox.

Cheers. Cobra

That's not what I mean.
Take a closer look at the front fender of the white S.E.P. in the above picture. The way the tampo does a dive - kinda separates into 2 pieces at the front fender.
Strange, huh?! The Wicked Wagon '60 Ford is the only other one that does that.
