Very cool idea Wyatt! At the end of the year you could pick the best of the month. Then put out a calender the following year with those pixs.

I thought about rounding that one up for another shot to show the t-bar roof. It's neat the way JL makes so many variations from one casting. I may change the picture.

Nice pics.

I am a member of a MAC community and they have a monthly thread for a theme for pics. Members are asked to post their pic and tell what sort of camera, subject, etc.

I always thought that sort of thread would be cool. Like a Casting of the month.

I like the "Photo of the Week" Idea. I tried that once on the other JL board using the Gold Series cars. I didn't get much of a response so I stopped doing it.

Thanks James for bringing back this picture.
This is the casting that I tried doing a top swap on recently.
I took two castings completely apart thinking that I could make a convertible into a hardtop and vice versa.
It didn't work.
These are the castings that I was using:

Images courtesy of JLCollector.com. Thanks Wyatt.
What I actually wanted to make was a 2002 Anniversary Camaro hardtop.

If you look closely at the rear of the casting in front of the rear spoiler you can see the difference in opening for the hardtop and the bigger deck space on the convertible.
I edited this post to incorporate Wyatt's picture to illustrate the difference and why I could not easy do the swap.

Cheers. Cobra

NOW I get it! the trunk lid is longer and the leading edge is less rounded. thats probably not worth converting, huh?!!

Exactly!
I just didn't know the right terminology, I guess.
Thanks, Lummox for the simplified explanation.

Cheers. Cobra
