Very nice picture, Wyatt.
And thanks.
Another interesting JL casting.
I have always liked this one.
The yellow school bus version was a must have for me.
I had the pleasure of riding in one of those twice aday five days a week during the school year.
So it was natural that I purchase it. Oh! The memories and the fun.
Field days, school day outings, sports events including baseball and football as a player.
And yes even having to get out and push the bus on occasions when it got stuck.
We had the same bus driver for years. He was an older gentleman but always caring and kind.

On the back of the yellow school bus the license plate reads "L8AGIN".
JL could do a couple more yellow versions with names like "Central High" etc.

Cheers. Cobra

That is my sons favorite!
He has a PEZ & Monopoly bus that he has nearly worn the wheels off.

Mac does it again. The yellow bus was one I wanted to do, but couldn't for lack of photocard material. (The only brochure we could find was an illlustration, and one that didn't show the whole bus, at that!) As I recall they just used a photo of the painted prototype. Brilliant.

Why PTAs and schools aren't looking to get "blank" buses and do custom tampo versions for their own schools, a la Matchbox and ColorComp, has always been beyond me. When I was there, TL wanted ALL of the tampo work done in-house--he feared that shoddy tampo work would result in a model he wouldn't be happy with and had no control over. A company like ColorComp, which could do short runs for schools and promotions, would never fly in the PM days. I wonder what the reasoning is now.

Great pic Wyatt! thumbsup.gif

I'm missing the Iron Maiden school bus. I guess I'll have to look for one at a local toy show.

I always liked that Chevy bus casting. thumbsup.gif With the Moble Army Surgical Hospital being my favorite.

Thank's Wyatt for the great pic's.

Quick question about the JL direct M.A.S.H. Bus. The one on JLCollector.com(see pic) seems a deeper color green then the one I have. So my question is, were two diff color greens used? Thank's thumbsup.gif

Love the Partridge famly BUs, when did JL issue that one?

I have a copy of the Yellow one and A Grateful Dead issue, and the Monopoly one but the Partridge Family and MASH ones blow me away.

Great Pictures, man I got to get a digital camera and figure out how to use it.
