This one and the 65 El Camino/300 wagon are tooled similarly, to allow pickup or wagon configurations, and were done more or less at the same time. I was proud of the factory for doing such a good job, and was amazed that management let us push it through in the first place. Don't know that the Falcon panel was my first choice though--I probably would have preferred a wagon. Still, better the panel than no Falcon at all!
jk
Jeff, you can definitely be proud of this casting and the one for the '65 El Camino/300.
They are nice ones and a bit different than the normal run of muscle cars.
I didn't even know that Ford made a Falcon panel until JL actually made the panel casting.
And then I had to do a little research on the Ford Falcons.
I think a station wagon may have been a better choice initially, but when you think about it from the standpoint of the manufacturer the panel probably made far more sense.
A panel suits itself for billboard purposes with much more potential than a station wagon.
Wyatt, thanks for choosing this casting for this week.
I have several variations of it.
Cheers. Cobra
