There's a few Camaro's I know my wife would like to have (Pez Bride and Groom set) and a few I'd go after.

The Street Freaks version is sweet. I really like the Camaro 35th and Anniversary versions.

Thanks Wyatt for another great edition of "The Picture Of The Week".

This is my favourite of the '75 - '77 Camaro castings.

Image courtesy of JLCollector.com. Thanks Wyatt.

I used to see a 1977 1/2 Z-28 just like this one on a regular basis on my drive to work in the mornings.
I even stopped on occasion to have a closer look at it.
It was a beauty and had the dark spoked Camaro rally wheels.
Very stuning in this colour.
I'm happy that the JL design team and Tom Lowe in particular made it. thumbsup.gif

    Now I'm hooked!

Can't go wrong with a Camaro! Thanks Wyatt for choosing this casting. Here's my favourite '76 Camaro:

Tiretract, here is another good lucking Camaro that should be included in this discussion.
It was released in the original Camaro series.

I'm enjoying this topic.

Surprisingly enough as much as a Camaro freak that I am, I don't particularly care for the 1974-1977 cars, the huge government mandated bumpers and the lack of performance, just sorta turns me off ...

BUT I digress of the JL casting variations this is my favorite:

1967 Camaro RS
1982 Camaro Z28
1998 Chevrolet Z71
1999 YAMAHA Banshee

They grew on me, the more I got, the more I started to really appreciate them, I was kinda a Gen 1 and 3 man at that time.

Wyatt, why do you refer to this casting as "The Tom Lowe Special"?
I don't ever recall hearing that or reading it anywhere.
I'm curious.
BYW nice WL Camaro that you just illustrated above.

I believe I read somewhere that Tom Lowe drove a Camaro to high school. I can't remember which one was his "Car is the Star" though.

Also, the one pictured is not a white lightning, it's just an Anniversary release.

Thanks Wyatt for the additional information.
I didn't collect the Anniversary castings so didn't know that it wasn't a WL.
I must admit that I don't know a whole lot about most of the WLs.
Even today, I could easily miss some of them.

And Wyatt, an interesting story comes to mind over that Camaro from the Anniversary Series release 5.
I was out of town a few years ago and happened to be in a hobby shop when I spotted that exact casting in the blister. I got all excited thinking that it was a WL so I phoned my son who was at home at the time and got him to look it up on JLCollector.com. Well it wasn't a WL so my excitement went away rapidly.
I just remembered this fact after I went and looked at the Anniversary Series castings.
It all came back for a few minutes but will be forgotten about again in short order.
You have to give the JL designors credit for being crafty on this one. It fooled me big time!

Same story, same hobby shop, different year, and different casting.
Here is another JL casting, the 1988 Corvette from the 50th Anniversary Corvettes release 3 that fooled me, too.

Image from JLCollector.com. Thanks Wyatt.
This one made me feel foolish after phoning my son at home on my cell phone long distance and having to put him through a few girations to finally find the casting on JLCollector.com.
But it was one of those cases of not knowing for sure at the time.
I was fooled by this one too.
Chalk it up to experience.

I used to own a chocolate brown '75 Type LT with a 350 4-speed. One of my first cars.
It looked just like the brown J.L. Z-28 but without the stripes.
I taught my wife (who was my GF at the time) how to drive a manual transmission with that car.

This is my collection.
