I like the color of the bottom red one.
I would love to find one of these in the wild. They'd be a great addition to anyone's collection.

Those were the days! To make your vehicle lighter, just remove some parts! Fenders, hoods, whatever! I have seen an old Vette running around Dallas without a hood - you used to see that alot in the 70's too, but now I think it is probably illegal. I remember riding around in cars where the floorboards were rotting through and you could see the road - not nowadays, cars are made better and you have to get inspections and all. We were poor but we liked it!

Oh, what am I saying???

Nice pic, Wyatt of a nice nostalgic old ride and many a hot rodders dream car!

I feel a whole lot more like I do now, than when I first got here!

LOL, I have waxed a few before to smooth them out. The '67 GTO in the original Street Freaks series looked 150% better with a good rub down!

I have four out of those five Wyatt!!!! The primer blue one(if I remember right it's a Navy war plane blue) from Retro Rods Release 1 is my favorite version of this casting.

Wyatt, you never cease to amaze me, with your choices for the Picture Of The Week.
Another great subject matter.
This is one JL casting that has many DIFFERENT and DIVERSE variations just like a person would have found probably back in the late '40s, the '50s, and early '60s.
For those viewers who are curious or interested in seeing the differances, do click on the link below the first thread provided by Wyatt at the start of this topic. You will not be disappointed.

Here are a couple of my favourites of this casting that I have in my collection:

IPB Image
From the Toy Fair 2002 set.
I thought that I had some pictures of this casting but I can't find them at the moment.
IPB Image
From Street Freaks release 8.
The tampos on this casting look much better in person on the casting when it is held in your hand.
IPB Image
From Ad Rods release 2.
This casting has "Real Wheels"TM tires. I liked the wheels on this casting to go along with the tires.
I always thought that this is what a 60s hot rod should look like (in my mind).

Cheers. Cobra

Great pic Wyatt! For some reason this casting never "did it" for me, not sure if I even have one in my collection. The Hot Wheels 100% version is so much better.

Only if you live in Boston.
"Banned in Boston" has many connotations.
But you don't live in Boston so you should be safe, LOL.

    Now I'm hooked!
