Wyatt, you already know how I feel about you photography (that would be drools and amazement!) but quick technical question.

What apperture are you using to get that kind of dept of field? I struggle to get one car in focus front to back. Much less 4 or 5 cars in a group. You never cease to amaze me!
RACECAR spelled backwards is still RACECAR!

Just like the T-Birds you posted earlier, another one of my favorite cars of all time. Great Pic.

No secrets, just a lot of trial and error and some tips from pms485, who I still can't seem to catch up to on a photoskill level!

My camera:
Canon PowerShot A80, 4 mexapixel
Use M (manual) mode
ISO speed = 50
Plenty of lighting, no flash
Shutter Speed = 1/125 (depends on lighting situation)
Aperture = F5.0
Use Macro mode function
Use timer set at 2 seconds
All of your lighting adjustments depend on the amount of light you have.
I adjust lighting in a photoshop type program.
With my camera, the closer I get, the less depth I am able to keep in focus. I stay 15 to 18 inches away in the shots I've posted recently here due to needing more focus in depth.
I think that's it. Hope this helps!

Nice pic Wyatt, thanks! Nice to see the less popular castings getting "shot".

Can I suggest casting #492 for next week?
Please, please, shoot the Ad Rods, JL Collection and the MoNC Hemi set versions together. beerchug.gif

Never seen the purple one before. Very nice.

Sure you have.
It is the one from Holiday Classics 2005.

You remember, the release with the silver chrome '05 Mustang, LOL.
How could you forget?

Wyatt, thanks for the picture.

Cheers. Cobra

I have a picture of 492, but not the particular paint schemes you listed. I already have 200+ pictures taken to use. I had a few free hours and wanted to get ahead.

The 492 has these three:

1961-1962 Lincoln Continental, casting #913, no date (debuted 2006)

Wyatt, I believe that this casting actually debuted in August 2005 with the release of the dark blue hardtop version in Classic Gold 2 release 28 and then closely followed with the releases of Holiday Classics 2005
possibly in September, Coke Automents in October, and 60s Sizzle version in October.
I might be wrong on a couple of the months but the time frame is close.
I just thought that you might like to know.
BYW, this is a nice casting.
And thanks for sharing the picture with us.

You're probably right. I may not have gotten it and entered into my database until 2006. Thank for clearing that up! For all we know, the casting could have been made in 2004 and not released until 2005 due to licensing issues.

For casting #492, I like these ones:
IPB Image
From the 10 vehicle set
IPB Image
From the Toy Fair 2001 release.
This is one variation that you seldom see mentioned.
As a matter of fact, you don't see the Toy Fair 2001 set talked about either.
The 2000 Hong Kong and New York Camaro sets you will see mentioned off and on.
I think that we are getting a little off topic with this one.
Maybe we should start a new thread on casting #492.

Wyatt, you may be correct.
Just so that you know, I wasn't critizing you.
I know that you always like to have things that are right.

I didn't take any offense. I'm all about getting the fact straight. I am honored when people send me corrections about jlcollector. I'd like for the site to be error free.

Nice pics Wyatt! I like how they did all three versions, the hardtop with the blue CG and the black SF model , the convertible top up on the Coke version, and the convertible top down.
