From the fourth release of Musclecars ca. 2001 if I remember right--the castings were before my time. This was when JL really got its shaping issues kicked and were churning out some of the best stuff for the price.

Jeff, when this casting came out; it definitely was top notch.
I still like it and have several versions of it in my collection.
The most amazing thing about this casting is the detail of the engine.
Still probably the best detailed engine on any casting made by PM, RC2, and LCB in 3" scale.

Thanks Wyatt for providing us with a climpse of another wonderful JL casting.

This is the last one that was produced up to this point in time.
I liked it so much that bought two copies of it.
When I look at this one, I will always think of Mac Ragan.
The casting deserved to be produced again for the many newer JL collectors who had probably never seen it up to that point.
I am pleased that Mac saw fit to have it produced.

And for anyone who has this casting, do take the time to check out that engine.
You will NOT be diasappointed.

The 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 "Sedate it ain't".
With the W-30 air induction system and 400 CID cranking out something like 350 HP.
I took a few pictures this afternoon.
I do hope that a couple pictures of the engine will show the detail.

Thanks JL for making this one.
And thanks goes out to Wyatt for making the '67 Olds Cutlass 442 the "Picture Of The Week".
An excellent choice.

Cheers. Cobra

Great pic's ACC!!!! I agree that is one of the best detailed motors on any 1/64 diecast car.

Thank's Mark, you know it shocks me even more that this casting has never been in the Classic Gold series. For it being such a great cast it's getting little to no respect sad.gif (insert (a very bad) impression of Rodney Dangerfield here smile.gif ) .

I like the idea proposed by Fury Us of having this casting done as part of the Gold Series.
Personally, I would like to see a triple black version.
Black vinyl top, black bottom, and black interior along with "Real Wheels"TM thin redline tires with a set of Cragar SS wheels.
That would be a sharp looking casting.

Cheers. Cobra

Great choice for pic of the week Wyatt thumbsup.gif
This casting would make a nice gold series car Mark. Good idea!

Here's some pics of mine.
I must have taken this before I got the yellow and black one, I see its missing eek.gif

For the record, the idea behind making this casting in the Gold Series belongs to darkwiz.

I was thinking of a dark olive green w/ black "vinyl" top for a Gold Series edition. Can you imagine the detailed undercarriage to compliment the highly detailed engine?? eek.gif WOW eek.gif
