These tanks are very highly detailed. As good as JLs are, it's hard to imagine these are JLs! I only have the tank from American Glory, but it's amazing to see the detail up close and personal.

Many of the other military models offered by JL are intricately detailed. I observed this first hand when fellow collector, Stack, came to my Cruise Gathering in 2006. John has an extensive collection of JL military vehicles, which he brought to my house, and I was thoroughly impressed with these pieces.

A very interesting choice of diecast this week, Mr. Davis. thumbsup.gif

Great pick this week Wyatt thumbsup.gif !!!! You just got to love the JL military castings. It's hard to believe there not used more often then they are. I would like to see a new Military series with some new castings in it smile.gif . Including some new aircraft such as the ME-109, Zero, and Spitfire.

This is my favorite pic yet!!

Although i do not have any, i love the tanks. Always looking for military vehicles. I like to collect the things that are out of the ordinary and are very distinguished.

do they actually put plows on those things?

I wa in active duty army, 3rd ID, for a few years, and also in the national guard for three years in a maintenance company that worked on abrams tanks among other things. i dont think I've ever seen an abrams with a plow on it. I seem to recall seeing a plow like that on a tank retriver before though.

Nice casting though.

That's is exactly what it is

During Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and for Bosnia, some M1A1s were modified with armor upgrades. The M1 can be equipped with mine plow and mine roller attachments if needed. The M1 chassis also serves as a basis for the Grizzly combat engineering vehicle and the M104 Wolverine heavy assault bridge.
