I always thought this was a strange idea for a casting. With so many other trucks that could of been done over this one. That was until I saw the working class trucks & SUV Rel 3 version. That was one great looking Stud pick'em up thumbsup.gif .

I only have the camper version of the Stude.

It's an older casting that is cool.

I just won an auction on the bay for the last white Postal Trucks piece I needed - the '61 Studebaker pickup.
And yesterday, I bought the black John Deere Stude. It's already been detampoed, ready for flames! devil.gif

If I remember correctly, the front fenders flared out on the 1:1 early sixties Stude pickups; the JL casting doesn't capture that feature.

Wyatt, thanks for your latest installment of "The Picture Of The Week".

My first Studebaker pickup was one from the Truckin' USA series.
But the second one that I bought got me much more excited over this casting:

And this one was a later purchase that has turned out to be my favourite of this casting:

The camper top, the colour, the wheels and tires, and most importantly the extra effort that went into fixing the appearance of the side vent windows.
A job well done all the way around.

Cheers. Cobra

Don't forget, Brad, this version has been approved by the unofficial official BWF committee as a JL BWF:
