I actually like the 98-current look better than the 92-97 style--it's crisper and more integrated. And, maybe I'm out of my mind here, but it doesn't seem to have aged, really ... consider a Checker cab, which looked like a '55 Chevy, was completely out of step in '65 or '70; new Crown Vics, while really old cars underneath, don't appear to have dated in the same way. Not in my eyes, anyway. The older one was a bit blobby, made a bit blobbier-looking by JL's casting. I'm sure when a new one shows up in 2012, or whenever it'll be, that it will instantly make the current car look like an elderly bag of bones.

Funny how that works. I remember the early 90's Grand Prixs looked so good, then came the late 90's, then came the current body style. Same with the Bonneville and the Monte Carlo/Lumina. It looked cool in 1995, then fast forward to 2007 and compare (the Monte, not the Bonneville, rest it's soul). Then look at the imports like the Altima, Camry, Oddyssey, etc. Within a year of the new body style hitting the showrooms, the old ones look outdated.
