another one of Wyatt's images

I went through the images and this one REALLY caught my attention,

If the list is up-to-date I'm surprised there hasn't been a BWF version of the '57 Bel-Air.

unless I'm wrong, i think the only BWF '57 chevy is this hardtop from Milezone's Flames series:

As for the convertible, I actually like this one from the Poker series. Too bad it has that green felt interior:

Oh, ok. I think of it as black primer, but looking at mine, I guess it is more of a gray than a black.

that 57 bwf nomad from the thunder wagons is a sweet one I'd like to find.

Its been 12 1/2 hours since Wyatt posted the pic of the week, and as I have set down to type a reply at least 6 times to this thread all I can do is shake. My firstthoughts were Wyatt I owe you big time, another early Christmas present, 57' Bowties, 4 lovely little Chevys getting together for a little family reunion. WOW, thanks Wyatt,

and then you guys started posting pics,

Zil, that beach bum Chevy is awesome, thanks for picking that one, its one of my favorites

Then the heavy weights,

Seveland posted 2 more, Milezone's 57 Falmes is smokin!, Faboulous doesn't begin to describe that rig. and that cute little Poker number, hey don't diss the fuzzy seats, I like them fuzzy seats. And they look so good i a 57 Chevy ragtop.

Then Roadwarrior put me down hard and for the count 1,2,3, three Nomads BWF, thats "BLACK WITH FLAMES", for all you neophytes out there. Could you post anything more beautiful, And I was out, out, out, like man I can hardly breathe.

If I wasn't on the floor gasping for breathe, I would of stood up and saluted that pretty little Stars amd Stripes, She's all dressed and ready to party, come on July 4th.

My old man heart can't stand all this excitement, breathe Jim breathe, nice deep breathes, thats it keep breathing, in , out, in , out, in ................

thanks Guys, your the best.

man thats sweet thumbsup.gif forget deciding between the three, they're perfect together as a triple threat.

you know, besides trying to keep up with all the new JL releases, i have a few "side projects" like trying to get all the muscle gold series, trying to get all the club membership cars in the tins, and trying to get all the 5 packs and 10 packs from 2004 'til now. But this thread has inspired me to put all those aside for now and work on something else. I'm going to try and get every car on this page:

The only '57's I have are HW's (A Classic S2, and an 08 Engine Revealer) and it's pretty bad when I can see a major difference in detail in the images alone, lol.

If I ever do come across any of the Johnnies on Pegs, you might as well count them as good as gone!!!

I'm going to try and get every car on this page:

Good luck Seveland, you will find that once the BWF bug gets you it burns out of control laugh.gif There are only 2 on that list I don't have (PSR Caddy and the Camaro kit) the only other one I need to complete the OFFICIAL JL BWF list is the ADDWC Mustang. When you can't find JL to satisfy your needs you then look to other brands,of which I have about 70 and that is only a small % of whats out there.I haven't even attempted to collect the larger scale stuff.Again GOOD LUCK with your new addiction and Welcome to the Club devil.gif

Hot Rod Al's trio of Nomads was my inspiration for trying to push through an entire Black with Flames series...

Wyatt, another great Picture Of The Week.
This is my first '57 Chevy Bel Air convertible:

IPB Image
The orchid mist version from Tri-Chevy release 2.
Atleast orchid mist is the colour that I know it by as I am not sure what colour name was actually used by Playing Mantis for this specific version.
I have made top up and top down versions of it.

IPB Image
I have also made top up and top down versions of this particular casting.

And this is my favourite version:
IPB Image

This is another of the great castings that were produced by Playing Mantis.
As a matter of fact, all three Tri-Chevy convertibles are very nice castings.
That would be 1955, 1956, and 1957 Bel Airs.
I have always liked them.

Cheers. Cobra

Another favorite of mine Wyatt!

I like the black '57 Chevy convertible from the James Bond series the best.

So James,
let me guess....

Fords for appetizers
Bowties for main course
and Mopars for dessert!

....and of course we then all retire to the parlour and inhale some of our favorite AMCs...

Yummy! rolley.gif

As longs as we can go back for seconds, I'm OK, and sneak a little extra dessert too. And maybe we can open a little bottle of that European stuff too, but just a little.

Ah Christmas dinner a la JL style, what could be better?
