Thanks Wyatt for the latest Picture Of The Week.
Another great subject choice.
My favourites are the Kentucky Derby Mustangs.
And I am still missing Swifty's blue Mustang.

I like the JL casting and I like the real 1:1 even more.
This is one of the great creations from Ford in recent times.
A true throwback to late sixties and early seventies muscle cars in terms of style.
Ford got it right.

Cheers. Cobra

Swifty told me at the Autofest he is trading up to another new Mustang, this time a GT to exactly math the 1:64! I think that's so cool! I wish I had the money to buy a '62 Bel Air and do it up like Temper Mental!

Wyatt, thanks for the information on Swifty and his plans for a new Mustang.
How time flies, it seems like yesterday when he bought the '05 and showed us pictures of it.
He is one of the JL collectors that I truly miss.
Always interesting posts from a classy individual.

So you went to Autofest, Wyatt?
You will have to post some of your thoughts and/or highlights of the event sometime.

As for the "Temper Mental" '62 Bel Air, the casting turned out to be a winner.
As for owning the real deal, that would be a wonderful experience.
Can you imagine launching that car at the start of the 1/4 mile at least once?

Cheers. Cobra

Swifty's new Mustang GT is the same color as his old V-6 Mustang.

It looks like the Swifty JL Mustang GT! thumbsup.gif

Nice pics Wyatt!

I understood that he was going to put on his 1000 break-in miles rather quickly ... so he could stand on it and see what it does!

Thanks for making my car the pic of the week. thumbsup.gif Well, my new ride is in!

As you can see, its a gorgeous burgandy 1999 Taurus station wagon. Ain't she a beaut? You can see my current Mustang in the foreground, and another Mustang and a Focus on either side of the Taurus.

Just kidding. laugh.gif

What a beautiful ride Swifty! Thanks for the pics. I dream of this car, but it's still a way off. I have the 69' as well as the 96' and the next project is a race version of the 95-98.

I have been trying to collect all the colors and variations in this casting. The only JL casting I have undertaken this in. So far I think I am current. I have all 14 shown on Wyatt's site, both open and blistered ( with the exception of the Derby rides, blister only). The brown Coke version also looks pretty good with the tampo's removed.

RACECAR spelled backwards is still RACECAR!

Welcome, Swifty, and congratulations on the new GT! Are you going to get a custom tag that says SWIFTY? Hopefully, if you do, it's not already taken by someone.

Thanks for the welcome! but nope, no custom plate. 'SWIFTY' would attract all the wrong kind of attention on a real license plate. wink.gif

Lummox, no I never did. I am still holding out hope that it will turn up somewhere! And in case you were wondering what it was going to look like completed:
