Here comes the Judge!!! This GTO is a great JL casting that's held it's ground over the years. Thank's for another cool edition to TPOTW Wyatt thumbsup.gif .

P.S. We need a JL 70 GTO casting smile.gif . Let's make it happen Mac thumbsup.gif .

Thanks for a great pic 'o the week! Yet more sweet castings that I need to find. I know someone who owns one in 1.1 and that black casting is just about perfect!!

Another very nice older model. Very accurate for the timeframe which it was produced in.

This is a nice casting, considering that it is an older casting. It's held it well over the years.

I only have the one medium blue w/white top from Muscle Cars USA.
Can't stand the colors but I can't find a single thing wrong with the casting.

Not only is it good for the time frame inwhich it was produced, I'd say it's right on par with any of JLs newest offerings imo.

Wyatt, another great choice for "The Picture Of The Week".
This is a casting that has survived the test of time.
It was a good one when it was introduced and is still a nice one after all these years.

This is my absolute favourite of all the versions:

Unfortunately I don't have it anymore as I traded it and a couple other versions of the '71 GTO Judge away for some other JL castings a few years ago.
Sometimes you have to trade something good away to get something good back in return.

But on a positive note, I do still have this one:

Definitely very patriotic.
BYW Lummox, it has Hoosier tires.

Well... It's not my favorite GTO series but it IS a must have for any 'Goat herder'. I personally like the '72 GTO with the 455 HO and the Honeycomb wheels.

zilleonti, the '71 GTO Judge only had one engine available...the 455 H.O. Also Honeycomb wheels were introduced in '71 in two sizes... 14 x 7 and 15 x 7. the difference in '71 and '72 wheels is the '72 got the fancy red PMD crest. So you can have it your way in either year! Can't beat that.

Hmm... I didn't know that. Thanks for the info happy.gif.
I don't know why but I've always liked the looks of the Honeycomb wheels even though they were heavier because of the polyurethane/steel construction. I like the '72 GTo because I think it was the last 'True' Goat because in '72 Pontiac switched the performance attention from the GTO to the Firebird Series.

If you go strictly by the 'Judge' options then I'd have to say my favorite would be the '69 GTO Judge package.
