A great selection Wyatt, and that black one just sings to me. I have always liked that version.

That is one of my favorite castings!!!!! My first car was a 65 4 door Nova. Man did I have some great times in that car. Thank's once again Wyatt for the POTW thumbsup.gif . And to answer your question, Yes it is a muscle car(when done up right) smile.gif .

Here are a few of my favorite versions of that casting.

Yes, with a little help! Great casting and although one of the older ones, still pretty good looking. A recast would be great!

Great subject Wyatt!

I agree with darkwiz, thisis one of my faves of that casting
IPB Image

It looks black in the picture but in sunlight it sparkles an incredible dark blue. There was a thread quite awhile ago about favourite colours on castings and this was the one I chose.
I don't have any Zingers of this casting yet but they are on "The List". Oh the list is so long eek.gif .

Thanks once again Wyatt.

American Beauties or Muscle?

Is this one of those?

Seriously. I bought this on the Bay when I first started collecting, ripped it out of the package right away (didn't want my White to turn blue laugh.gif ) and now I can't remember what series it is from.

It's a WL from Muscle Cars U.S.A. 203-01, 203-02, or 203-03. Can you post a pic of the base (chassis) showing the number?

I've never seen a number higher than 600 on the base.

The red one is catching my eye. My mother had a mid-70's (might've been a 73) brown Nova and my oldest uncle had a '73 Orange Nova.

Image courtesy of JLCollector.com. Thanks Wyatt.

I have the blue with flames Zinger version illustrated above.
I never did see the green Zinger version in a retail store.
And I do have a few of the regular versions.

Thanks to everyone for posting pictures and their input into this discussion.
And a special thanks goes out to Wyatt for his choice of subject matter for The Picture Of The Week.
This is an older JL casting that still looks good after all the years.
A modification to the side vent windows could do wonders for this casting including extending its life span for a few more years. Other than the vent window issue, the rest of the casting design is sound.

Cheers. Cobra

Just painting the vent windows black instead of silver would have made a big difference.
