That was one of my favourite JL castings for a very long time.
I have many different colour variations.
This is supposed to be the vehicle that was the first of the muscle cars.
A well produced casting.
And I still enjoy looking at the casting and the detail.

Thanks Wyatt for picking this casting for this week.
Another quality picture.

Cheers. Cobra

Very nice! I love the GTO. JL did a great job on this one and other years of the GTO. Well done Wyatt.

This is one of those "early/mid JL" castings that has stood the test of time!!!!! There is no rush to recast this one thumbsup.gif . It would look great as a CarWF, AG, PIP, and as a 13 custom smile.gif . Let's say flat black with flat black steelies on wide WW tires smile.gif . A fuzzy red interior would finish off that beauty:) . A MISFITS or MOTORHEAD bumper sticker would be the black rose on the cake smile.gif .

Ahhh...the Misfits. That was a band you had to see in person to really appreiciate.

Both are casting #261 made from a multi-purpose tool that can be changed out to make either year.

GEEZ, that '68 is gorgeous! I've got the '69 in the recent retro and I like the detail. My first car was a '68 GTO...got it when I was 15 and used to sit around in it, start it and rev the motor and throw the Hurst shifter out in the front lawn just counting the days until I could drive it. Finally by the time I turned 16 and got my license, I had unknowingly run the car out of gas. On her maiden voyage I got in the car go pick my friends up for some cruising and what-have-you, and the car wouldn't start. Being green...I called my friends and cancelled our evening because I thought the car was broken down. laugh.gif
Sorry for the hijack, but I love GTOs.

Flat black, fuzzy seats, Motorhead Bumper sticker, or maybe the Ramones, abit of grey primer, maybe a orange glossy fender.

LOVE IT

A PIP of this casting would be awsome, I may have to make my own.

Motorhead, The Ramones, The Misfits, VoiVod! I didn't know we had so many freaks in here. I like all kinds of music from Chuck Berry to Skinny Puppy to Led Zepillen to The Cramps but have tended to the punk, industrial, rockabilly, alternative side of things.

darkwiz I got to see VoiVod with White Zombie and Anthrax. It was a good show.

Got a bit off topic but this is where it made most sense.

I liked the old Ritz best, but my roommate at that time ('89) worked coat check @ the new Ritz. Spent many a night hanging out BS'ing with Rob Zombie, and Danny Lilker (Anthrax founder). I'm from Minneapolis/St. Paul, but moved to New York (14th and B ) in '87. Spent 7 years out your way.

It was a good show. It was kind of weird that in the middle of Zombie I was in "the pit" and I looked down and in front of me was I swear a 12 year old boy that looked terrified (it was a wild pit). I asked him if he wanted out and he nodded yes so I took him to the edge of the crowd but I didn't want to leave him alone so I took him to a group of 4 cute Freaky girls and asked the to help him find the people he came with. They ate him up, thought he was sooo cute and agreed to help him. I left him with a big smile on his face.

Scat Pack - CBGB's wow I wish I coulda gone there once even. That would have been an excellent era to work there.

Friday night I'm going to see Slayer and Marylin Manson in Toronto. Friends bought me a ticket for my birthday! I didn't even know Slayer was still together.
