Too far out into left field.
And I doubt if there would be an universal appeal for this type of material.
I would love to see some trucks and small car trailers long beforeTLC/JL considered making some crab boats.
Just my 2 cents on the subject.
And thanks for asking.
Cheers. Cobra

again with say the Escalade, a Van or even a JL car- I don't think its such a bad idea. Maybe
they can put Lightning stripes down the side of it to match the clear tired Lightning Rods 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda.

They are large and carry very large numbers of crab traps that are dropped into the ocean off the coast of Alaska. Then latter pulled up for the harvest.
This is an interesting show that I used to watch on a weekly basis.
Certainly an educational television show that is/was worth viewing.
A far as the bass boats is concerned, I would like to see another release of them.
I believe that they were tastefully created.
I think that distribution and cost may have been the only drawback when the set was originally released.
Here is an example of one of the original Bass Boats:

And here is another interesting item from JL that I have a couple different copies of from 1997, the Sea-Doo XP:

I liked these castings but they were hard to find for me.
Images courtsy of JLCollector.com. Thanks Wyatt.

Ketch ya later
Jlambsr form Ketchikan Alaska
A huge welcome to our northern neighbour.
You may be the member who is closest to the North Pole.
For you, the rest of us are all "southerners", LOL.
How close are you to Prince Rupert, B.C.?
I believe that there is a member on another diecast board who resides in Palmer, Alaska which is just outside Anchorage.
Do tell us a little about your area.
The very long summer days and very short winter days.
Is all travel by water?
Where do you obtain your JL castings etc?
BYW, I like you sign off "Ketch ya later".
Cheers. Cobra

I just moved here a month ago, I was originally from WI, and commented few times over at HT, Ketchikan is very close to Prince Rupert, just around the corner, when I asked about how different the sunrise and sunsets were from WI, most said ahhh they are pretty close, but June 21 I checked and the sun "SET" close to 10, I remember lying in bed around 11:30pm and it was still light out and then the next thing I knew I woke up thought I was late for work cause it was light again, but the clock said 3:30...The sun wasn't officially up but it was close, I will tell you later what winter is like as I am new to it all, I will add that Ketchikan is a Rainforrest, it rains all the time, and the winters are milder compared to WI. I used to get my JL's from Mac's Lil Cars, I see the local Walmart has full pegs of Pokers and SF's which I have 2 sets of the pokers and the SF's that I wanted so I won't be purchasing them, And yes travel is either by plane or water, our island has roughly 30 miles of road....
Sorry for hijacking the thread now back to the original topic....make some boats! you could even do PIP boats, I'd love that!

And here is another interesting item from JL that I have a couple different copies of from 1997, the Sea-Doo XP:

The Sea-Doo and Ski-Doo were made in exactly 1:25 scale. My efforts to make a run of these exclusively for hobby shops, to use as diorama pieces and for display in the beds of pickup trucks, fell on deaf ears. A lot of my ideas did that. And somehow a lot of my crappy ones got through.

Don't know if I'd collect the them, but I would love to see a 1:64 Chriscraft wooden speedboat on a trailer ! That would look so cool being pulled behind some of the JL vehicles
Scott
Hafta admitt, I'd be all over a Criscraft - esspecialy that one that looked like the Batboat
with a huge fin behind the driver they made around '59 - WOW!!!
Good idea, Scott.
