What are some tv & movie cars you'd like to see JL recreate?
For tv, there was the Beverly Hillbillies- Mr Drysdale drove the shiniest red convertable i've ever seen- a 65' Olds?
The 2 foreign cars driven by Maxwell Smart in 'Get Smart would be a nice release'
How about the nice red Chevy ragtop in the Brady Bunch? They had a station wagon too- io forget the make and year....I think onthe Patridge family, in addition to the psychedellic bus, they had a late 60s Olds station wagon...
The Firebird trans am driven by Jim Rockford in 'The Rockford Files was a favorite...
Then there was Fred sanford's pickup in 'Sanford and Son'
What were they driving on the shows 'Streets of san francisco' and Cannon'?
What was driven on the show 'car 54'?
On Leave it To Beaver- I think ward Cleaverdrove a 57 or 58 Plymouth, then later switched to a 62 Plymouth...

As for cars from films- I'd like to see the 73' Chevys (civilain and police) from 'Live and Let Die', and the early 1970s Ford LTD from the james Caan cop comedy 'Freebie and the Bean'.

I would love to see TLC/JL tool up a 70 GTO. Then do a "head to head" Two Lane Blacktop box set. smile.gif These would NOT(if marketed right) end up at discount outlets thumbsup.gif .

How about the Plymouth from the Stephen King film 'Christine'?

Btw, was the Plymouth in Christine the same make and model as the rusted one recently taken out of its 1957 time capsule- I'm pretty sure the Plymouth in Christine was also a 57' Plymouth Belvedere , but i could be way off...

wave.gif And the Firebird that talked and drove by itself, I believe it was called "Kit".
Black, customized in a lot of ways.

I can't remember the show.

I'd like to see the Trans Am from 'Rockford files' face off against 'Kit'....
James Garner's Firebird was MUCH nicer than Hasslehoff's

Thats the guy, Baywatch's star. You do remember the car then. Yes Rockford's Firebird was much nicer.

The 'Monkeymobile' from 'The Monkeys' was a suped up 66' GTO custom job- I wonder if any aspect of that car was a real GTO- or if it was built up from scratch to simply look like a GTO- there wern't too many factory features on that car...

mr plymouth i should have mentioned
christine was a 58 plymouth fury
they used up some belvederes ,and savoys, and furys to make the movie
but the story was about a 58 plymouth fury
this information i got from my husband.
and one of the furys is still around
a v8 with 2, 4 barrel carbs that give it the demon sound l.o.l.

he had quite a few plymouths, they were dirt cheap in those days, so he drove them as winter rats and put the fords away l.o.l

Harry and Lyolds Van from Dumb and Dumber -- "Hey, it's a Shaggin wagon"

If the can make a fuzzy Escalade (poker series) which I liked, then this shouldn't be a problem...

Garner always drove Firebird Esprits not Trans Ams... he seemed to go for luxury instead of speed and power

Thanks for the memories and lasting friendships

Many of the vehicles featured on television shows have been made by PM/RC2/TLC.
Go to JLCollector.com and search through the various Hollywood On Wheels releases to see some of them.
They are always interesting to look at.

It is from Miama Heat, the show with Don Johnson.

And here is Mike Brady's 1971 Barracuda convertible from The Brady Bunch:

For some reason, this was and may still be a very hard casting to acquire.
And I don't know why.

wave.gif I was thinking about the yellow Cuda from Nash Bridges. Strange he drove a Cuda in 2 of his shows. He has a Ferrari Daytona I believe in Miami Vice

Mike Brady's Cuda must of been from when he was going thru his gotta get a sports car convertible years. He drove real big Mopars ragtops most of the time. And yes lets not rehash what the Brady's drove. It embarasses some of us, and the youngsters among us have no clue as to what we're talking about. Geesh I can't believe I used to watch the Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, etc etc. Getting old. Would JL ever make a head to head Barney Rubbles Roadster against Fred Flintstone's wagon.

You are correct.
It was Nash bridges.
I have a car magazine that has an article about the '71 Cudas that he drove.
I think most if not all were actually clones of a Hemi Cuda but not the real deal.
Sorry about my mistake.
Don Johnson wasn't one of my favourite actors.
I preferred watching James Garner as Rockford.
I watched the Rockford Files faithfully each week.

Cheers. Cobra

When you hit 327, that will be a very interesting post.
That is my favourite Chevy engine.

Thanks for the info! I had no idea replicas have already been made of these cars- Didn't Maxwell Smart drive another car in the 2nd season? It was another foreign model....

2 recent shows featured classic American muscle cars- 'Jericho' had a nice muscle car, as does 'Supernatural'.

years ago I had plastic models of some of the super hot rods from the Munsters- die cast versions would be nice though!

Remember the 1971 movie 'Duel'? I think it was Speilberg's first movie- about a serious case of road rage- The victimized compact Pymouth Valiant and a seriously aggressive rig from that film would be nice in dicast form...
